Amy Biehl Early College Academy

Amy Biehl High School, founded in 1999,  requires all students to complete a minimum of two dual credit classes before graduation. However, the ABHS Early College Academy is intended to accelerate college credit acquisition toward a four-year degree. Our goal is to decrease cost of college, improve college persistence through degree attainment, and make college an option for those students traditionally underrepresented in college enrollment and completion. In keeping with our mission of service to the common good, every ABHS student must complete a 100-hour (minimum) capstone service senior project. Students participate in required service learning activities once a month from grades 9-11 where they are exposed to various non-profit, educational, and workforce opportunities. Over the past 25 years, we have engaged over 150 workforce partners in this endeavor which has led to nearly 200,000 hours of service to the community.
