School of Dreams Academy

New Mexico State Charter

The School of Dreams Academy (SODA) focuses on pathways encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, such as healthcare, to provide students with workforce recognized credentials for the present and the future. Receiving its Early College High School designation in 2014, the SODA serves Valencia County’s nine cities and has partnered with the University of New Mexico-Valencia as its post-secondary partner. SODA uses a block schedule and provides students with robust support staff to coordinate and guide courses with STARS code requirements. Through a variety of student resources, such as interest assessments and labor market data, SODA seeks to provide students, many of them first-generation or underrepresented, with a path to long-term success.
