Pathway2Careers (P2C) provides New Mexico students and educators with career exploration tools, career assessments, Next Step Plan support resources, and career-connected instructional resources at no cost through the NMPED Career Readiness Bureau (CCRB).
Students use P2C to complete career assessments, explore careers, save favorite careers, and build a personalized My Career Page. The My Career Page stores assessment results, saved careers, career interests, and other career planning information, allowing students to revisit and update their career exploration each year as they complete their annual Next Step Plan.
Educators can access their students’ My Career Pages to monitor progress, review assessment results, saved careers, and career interests, and support students as they develop and update their Next Step Plans. School counselors and district administrators also have access to reporting tools that support student career planning and program implementation.
Pathway2Careers is an NMPED-approved career exploration platform that helps students complete career assessments, explore career pathways, and build a personalized My Career Page with information they can use each year when developing their annual Next Step Plan.
For Educators:
If your district has Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Review the New Mexico District P2C Single Sign-On (SSO) Information page to determine your district’s login method.
- Sign in using your district’s SSO portal (Google, Clever, ClassLink, EdLink, or another supported integration).
- Educators and students in districts with active SSO do not need an invite code.
If your district does not have Single Sign-On
- If you already have a Pathway2Careers educator account, simply sign in using the P2C Platform Login.
- If you do not yet have an educator account, complete the New Mexico Educator Get Started Form to request one.
- If students do not yet have accounts, they will need an invite code provided by their to create their account.
Adding a Class
We recommend creating a class and having students join your class using the Class Invite Code. Once students join your class, you will automatically have access to their career assessments, My Career Pages, saved careers, and other career planning data. This allows you to monitor student progress and support students as they complete career assessments and develop their annual Next Step Plans.
To create a class:
- Select My Classes from the navigation menu.
- Select Add a Class.
- Enter a Class Name.
- Select any P2C Curriculum. (This selection is required to create the class but does not affect students’ access to career assessments, career exploration tools, or the My Career Page.)
- Select the Instructional Format.
- Select the School Year.
- Verify that Currently Active? is checked.
- Select Create.
- After your class has been created, open the class, select Class Roster, copy the Class Invite Code, and provide it to your students.
- Students will sign in to their existing P2C account or create a new account using the invite code (if they are new users). If they already have accounts, they will then select Join a Class and enter the Class Invite Code.
For Students:
If your district has Single Sign-On (SSO):
- Sign in using your district’s login portal or learning platform.
- Use the invite code provided to you to join a class so that your assessment results are shared with your district.
- Take the Career Assessments
If your district does not have Single Sign-On
- If you already have a Pathway2Careers account, sign in using the P2C Platform Login.
- If you do not yet have an account, ask for an invite code to create your account.
- Use the invite code provided to you to join a class so that your assessment results are shared with your district.
