Dual Enrollment is Growing Nationwide

A new report from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) and American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) maps the changes in higher education being driven by the growth of dual enrollment programs like Early College High Schools. BRIDGING TWO WORLDS: The Evolving Landscape of High School Dual Enrollment in American Higher Education gauges the perception of high school students taking college courses. Some of the top findings include:

  • 95% agree HSDE improves access to postsecondary courses
  • 93% believe it enhances college affordability
  • 90% indicate it expands curriculum access for high-school learners
  • 85% agree successful completion demonstrates college readiness
  • 81% view it as expanding their prospective learner pool
