Early College High Schools can enhance dual credit programs by integrating industry‑recognized credentials (IRCs) alongside meaningful work‑based learning (WBL) experiences. These strategies help students develop real‑world, transferable skills and validate applied learning through credentials. A new national report from American Student Assistance (ASA) and Bellwether highlights New Mexico as one of 10 states advancing high school WBL through strong policy, infrastructure, and partnerships, reinforcing the importance of connecting students to authentic career experiences.
